  The construction schedule is subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances

  
 Stern Hall and Stern Parking Lot

• Construction of the new road in front of Stern Hall has begun. This work is expected to be noisy and will include asphalt demolition, jack hammering, and heavy equipment. This work will stop during dead and finals weeks, and restart the week of June 19.

  Temporary Stern/Wilbur Lot

• Construction of the temporary parking lot on the field between Stern and Wilbur Halls will begin on June 26th. This work will be noisy at times and will involve the demolition of the basketball courts, removal of debris and landscaping, and the use of heavy equipment.

• Work to restore the basketball court at the north end of the field will be concurrent with the installation of the parking lot.

• The above work is expected to take approximately 6 weeks.

 Parking Structure 6

• Work on this project will continue during dead and finals week.

 Arguello Way and Campus Drive Utility Work

During dead and finals weeks, construction activities will continue in this area. Quiet work will occur between 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM, and noisy work may begin at 9:00 AM.

April 20 – End of June, underground utility work is being conducted from Alvarado Row to Lane A. Due to this work, intermittent one way traffic control will be implemented on Campus Drive between Arguello Way and the Student Services building from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Signage and traffic flaggers will direct traffic and pedestrians as necessary.

• The sidewalk is closed on the north side of Campus Drive from Arguello Way to Lane A, and pedestrians should use the sidewalk on the opposite side of Campus Drive.

• The bus stop is closed on the north side of Campus Drive between Arguello Way and Alvarado Row. Alternate stops in the westbound direction are at Campus Drive/Bowdoin Street or Campus Drive/Mayfield Avenue.

In mid to late June, the second half of the Campus Drive utility work, from Escondido Road to Lane A, will begin. There will be additional traffic control, lane restrictions, and the relocation of bus stops as a result of this work. More information will be available in the next couple of weeks.

 Student Services/Law School Lot

• During dead and finals weeks, construction activities will continue in this area. Quiet work will occur between 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM, and noisy work may begin at 9:00 AM.

 Lane A Utility Work

• Utility work along Lane A will stop during dead and finals, and Lane A will re-open to traffic during this time.

• Work to reconfigure the parking lot behind the Haas Center will begin on June 19th. This parking lot will be closed from June 19th through approx. August 4th.

• Lane A will be re-closed to traffic on June 19th, and traffic to and from the Post Office and Bookstore will be routed along Nathan Abbott Way..

 Munger House Relocations

• During dead and finals weeks, construction activities will continue in this area. Quiet work will occur between 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM, and noisy work may begin at 9:00 AM.

Wilbur Field Parking Structure (PS 6)

• Work will continue on this project during dead and finals weeks.

• Excavation work and construction of shoring to support the perimeter walls of the parking structure will continue throughout the next three months. Noise and vibrations should be expected due to this work.

Law School Parking Lot and Student Services Center
          April 10 - Late June,
the following work is scheduled to occur in the Law School parking lot:


• During dead and finals weeks, construction activities will continue in this area. Quiet work will occur between 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM, and noisy work may begin at 9:00 AM.

• Student Services Access Road and utility work will continue. A small section of ‘A’ permit parking in the Law School parking lot will be impacted. This work will be noisy at times, and there will be increased truck traffic and equipment activity in this area.

• Construction work will occur directly adjacent to the northwest and northeast sides of the Student Services Center.

Arguello Way and Campus Drive Utility Work

• During dead and finals weeks, construction activities will continue in this area. Quiet work will occur between 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM, and noisy work may begin at 9:00 AM.

• Mariposa, Serra and Rogers Houses have been moved to their new location in front of Bechtel International Center.

Owen and Drell house have been moved to their new location adjacent to Lane A and behind Mars and Sigma Nu Houses.

April – September 2006, work will continue on the houses, including foundation work, seismic upgrades, interior finishes, landscaping and final parking lot reconfiguration.

• Fall 2006, the houses are scheduled to open..
