Welcome

Adjacent to the Stanford Law School, in the southeast part of the campus, the signs of future improvements can be seen in the construction of the Munger Graduate Residences project. Preparation work and construction is underway to develop new residences, new parking, and improved roads.

The Munger Graduate Residences will redefine graduate education at Stanford by creating premium housing for 600 graduate students. The residences will be a model of interdisciplinary living and learning and will offer an array of modern apartments and communal spaces fostering cross-disciplinary thought, debate and collaboration.

This website is to help keep the people who live, work and visit Stanford updated on current construction. Here you can learn what to expect, when to expect it and how long it will last.  Updates are provided as often as new information becomes available.

Benefactors

The project is moving forward thanks to the largest gift ever earmarked for university housing at Stanford. Stanford will use a $43.5 million gift from Nancy and Charles Munger as the foundation for a one-of-a-kind mixed graduate student community on more than six acres of university land that links the main campus to the various Lower Row residences.
